Can I just encourage any wife who reads this blog? If you struggle with a decision that needs to be made, ask your husband.
I have been mulling over something for the past 3 days, thinking I knew what I wanted to do about it just not sure exactly how to go about it. I'm being aloof with details to protect the one I mulling about.
Anyway, I've discussed it with my Hubby several times but never actually asked, "What should I do about it?" Until today.
Guys can take the emotion out of something and just make it so simple. He told me what he thinks need to be done and I'm going to do it. The stress is gone. I have such a peace about it now.
God gave us our husbands to lead and protect us. Let them. Then let go of whatever it is you're trying to control. It is so freeing.

Isn't it wonderful to be a girl? I wish all women would know the blessing that being able to submit and not feel like we are worth less. I think being southern woman has helped with that. I am so grateful to have a covering over me. My husband respects my opinion and I never feel like I don't have a voice. I sometimes need more control over it. But, I love that God has made us entirely different and suited for our role and suited to work with the men in our lives.
One thing that I try to do is to pray for God to confirm things through my husband. I have had a couple of times where I felt called to something/ or felt that the Lord was leading us in a new direction and asked my prayer partner to pray with me and did not even mention it to my husband. Then, he will come to me and it will be so cool to see how God works through them. You know it is God b/c they didn't hear it from you. Love it, love it!
Thank you, Southerner. You summed it up beautifully!!
Amen! I am just now learning this! What a relief to know that my precious hubby is wise and truthful. I could have saved myself so many sleepless nights if I had just revered his input and council sooner. I just went to him with something tonite: "What do I do?" And tonite, I especially loved his answer: "Don't do anything. I'll handle it." Amazing! I'm so glad I am woman and a wife under the protection of my husband and my Lord.
